New vCloud Air Pricing Calculator

Today already started out pretty interesting with the announcement of the brand change for VMware vCloud Air from VMware vCloud Hybrid Service.  To go along with that, today was posted a new vCloud Air Pricing Calculator to help you better understand the three current offerings.  You can do pricing models for:

  • Virtual Private Cloud
  • Disaster Recovery
  • Dedicated Cloud

It’s a pretty slick tool and easy to use and pretty informative.  I was not involved directly, but I think some of the sizing work David Hill and I did a while back was used to generate outputs.  I also know Jay Marshall and Chris Spencer were also very involved in getting this out the door just in time for VMworld.

Previously to this he spent close to a decade working for VMware as a Principal Architect. Previous to his nine plus years at VMware, Chris was a System Administrator that evolved his career into a data center architect.
